Peace, Unity, and Love
Real peace and lasing unity amongst Christians can only come through honesty. Absolute honesty—no fake kindness, no helpful gestures for personal gain. Yet honesty, by itself, has never created unity.
Building unity on common belief or common causes—no matter how noble nor grand—does not produce any kind of peace worth having. Religious cults maintain total unity through a common cause. So does the army. The Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang does the same.
The only peace, the only lasting unity worth having, comes from nothing other than love. Heartfelt love. Love for God, love for life and creation, love for one another. I want nothing other than the love I may carry from this life into the next—and with that I will live content, forever!
