Thanking, Loving, Trusting
“Thank you LORD for . . . !”
“I love you LORD!”
“I trust and believe in you LORD!”
For many years I have woken up with these words in my heart and voice—plural if my wife wakes up beside me.
The LORD deserves my praise!
No end of things to thank Him for—morning after morning, even if lying in a hospital bed strapped up tight with tubes and monitors, even if no longer able speak at all.
The LORD is worthy!
Thanking the LORD flows smoothly into loving Him—for real.
Loving the LORD, at one time, seemed strange to me, yet the more I understood how much He loves and cares for the likes of me—me as a person, custom designed to serve and worship Him—the easier and more natural it all became.
Loving the LORD, passionately, what else could one do than to trust and believe in Him?
Thanking, loving, and trusting the LORD with one’s entire being, leaves no space nor time for worry. Nor for wallowing in regret, shame, fear, doubt, envy, spite, or the bitterness of resentment, licking of wounds, or blame.
Thanking, loving and trusting the LORD of Hosts—praise His name—leads from this life into the next . . . calmly, with grace, and the full inner confidence that comes from believing in Him.
Thank, love, and trust the LORD.
The choice is yours. Start your day with Him and you will never regret it—and you will discover that nothing else matters.
Try it!
